Angela Salazar is a professional writer and editor with more than 20 years experience working for some of the nation’s premiere companies, including InStyle magazine, ABC News, Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer, Bare Escentuals, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Janie and Jack. She is the founder of her own regional media brand, Concept Carmel.

During her 10 years at InStyle, Angela interviewed A-list celebrities and tastemakers, reported on everything from weddings to television trends, booked features, oversaw event coverage and managed a talented team of freelance reporters. She worked on major brand events such as InStyle’s Golden Globes post-party, and focused on both print and digital entertainment coverage.

As deputy Style editor at the San Francisco Chronicle, Angela oversaw coverage of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle trends in the Bay Area and beyond, as well as special issues such as Top Shops, gift guides, and weddings.

As the founder and editor of Concept Carmel, Angela leads a team of award-winning journalists and creatives covering the California coast. Concept’s innovative approach to content marries rich storytelling with immersive design and visuals. Subjects include internationally recognized brands and founders including Visvim, Lady & Larder, Palisociety, Bobbie, Halim Flowers, and many more.

Angela also consults on copywriting, editorial, and marketing objectives for companies ranging from hospitality to e-commerce to media. 

When she’s off-duty, you’ll find her enjoying the California sun with her family.
